Rules & regulations
Our guests are kindly requested to adhere to the following rules during their stay with us:
1 Check in and Check out
Guests must present a valid identity document (passport/identity card) upon arrival, as required by Italian law.
Guests must pay any remaining money owed for the entire period of their stay in cash when they check in and receive the keys for their room. The B&B is not obliged to accept credit cards or debit cards (bancomat). We do not accept cheques either.
We will provide guests with a front door key, as well as the keys to their room. The front door must remain locked at all times. Guests must look after the keys and hand them back in when they leave. Failure to do so will mean guests have to pay the cost of changing the locks which is €150.
Guests are not allowed to bring other people into the B&B, who aren’t registered as guests, unless we give our consent.
In no circumstances will we accept non-accompanied minors as guests. Children must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians at all times.
For minors who do not have an identity document, the head of their family will be the guarantor.
2 Arrival and departure times
As our B&B is a private, family-run guest house, there is no 24-hr reception service, as you would find in a hotel. Therefore guests are required to let us know their expected arrival time in advance by telephone or email so we can ensure we are here to greet them. Failure to do so may result a long wait before checking in. Please do not complain or ask for a reimbursal if this is the case.
The rooms are available from 15.00 onwards and check-out is before 10.00.
Guests are required to check in before 21.00.
When no other guests are arriving the same day, check out can be delayed until 12.00 if agreed with us beforehand. Guests who leave after 10.00 without arranging a late check out with us will be charged a ‘late check out’ fee of 50% of the nightly rate.
Guests who wish to request different check in and check out times from the above may get in touch with us and we will try to accommodate their needs.
3 Prices
The price includes accommodation, breakfast, and daily cleaning. Towels are changed every 2 days. Extra towels can be requested at a charge of €4. Sheets are changed every three to four days, in line with local regulations. Sheets can be changed more frequently at a charge of €15.00 per change.
4 Room cleaning
The owner or authorized personnel will access the rooms, if they are free, to clean them daily. If the rooms are not free at the appropriate hour, they will not be cleaned. Extra room cleaning requests carry a charge of €20.00.
5 Booking a room
Rooms can be booked via email, via our website or over the telephone.
Once the booking is made, for longer stays, guests are required to pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount by bank transfer. The IBAN and bank details will be provided by the owner.
The booking is only confirmed once the owner receives a copy of the bank transfer.
6 Privacy protection
The personal data provided by the guests will be processed in compliance with the current European privacy law 675/98 and will be used exclusively for purposes relating to the guests’ stay. Under no circumstances will data be shared with third parties.
7 Pets
Small pets are allowed, if arranged with us in advance.
8 – Code of conduct
Guests are asked to respect the quiet times from 14.00 to 16.00 and 23.00 to 7.30.
Guests’ behavior at all times must not upset or disturb the tranquility of others.
In our B&B it is strictly forbidden to smoke.
Guests are obliged to pay for any damage caused to furniture or facilities
and / or for the improper use of the facilities provided. Guests are also held responsible for the actions of any minors in their party.
9 Restrictions
Children are not allowed to use any of the appliances provided: kettles, hairdryers etc.
It is forbidden to throw nappies, wipes or anything that could obstruct the pipes into the toilet.
It is forbidden to go around the B & B with inappropriate clothing that may offend the decency of others.
10 Guest obligations
Guests must turn off the lights, the television, the air conditioner and any other electrical appliances when they leave the B&B.
11 Maintenance
If required, the owner or a delegate reserves the right to carry out
any urgent maintenance.
12 Extra
Any extras like drinks, food or services will be charged to the guests on their departure.
13 Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi in the B&B. The password is available on request.
14 Recommendations
Guests are asked to look after their belongings as the management declines all responsibility in the case of loss or theft of objects of any value left inside the B&B.
Guests are required to lock the front door at all times and to take care of the keys.
Theft and/or intentional damage will be reported immediately to the authorities.
15 Swimming pool
If guests wish to use the pool, they must sign a release form.
- Access to the pool is allowed from 10.00 to 19.00, except when maintenance is being carried out.
- Children/young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for them.
- Diving is not allowed due to the limited depth (120cm) and size of the pool.
- It is forbidden to run on the tiles or push the other swimmers into the water.
- It is forbidden to shout or raise your voice.
- For all those who can’t swim, swimming aids like arm-bands, swimming vests, rubber rings are compulsory.
- It is forbidden to play dangerous games in or near the pool.
- It is forbidden to glass, hard plastic or metal containers and/or objects into the pool.
- All pool equipment must be used with care.
- Any damages caused must be reimbursed.
- Please note that there is no life guard.
- It is forbidden to throw paper, cigarette stubs or anything else into the water or in the garden.
- Any behavior contrary to hygiene rules is forbidden.
- In order to keep the pool clean, guests must follow the following rules:
- people with skin infections or other infectious diseases, as well as people with cuts or wounds covered with bandages are not allowed in the pool.
- It is compulsory to have a shower before entering the water.
- It is forbidden to use the towels supplied to the room or personal ones. Guests must use the pool towels provided by us at a cost of €5 each.
16 Agreement
By confirming the booking, the customer explicitly declares to have read and agreed to abide by the rules and regulations of the B&B Il Fienile di Scarperia.
Compliance with the rules and regulation is compulsory.
B&B Il Fienile di Scarperia reserves the right to immediately terminate the contract with the guest if they break one or more of these rules and the guest will be obliged to pay for the entire period of their stay.
