We opened our home, Il Fienile di Scarperia, to our first guests in 2005. The idea came to us when we moved to Scarperia, as we were always inviting friends and family over to stay, and organising parties and dinners. Il Fienile means ‘the barn’ in English. The name comes from the fact that the property was originally a barn when we bought it. We took great care to convert the building using traditional Tuscan methods and materials, leaving the vaults, exposed beams, the fireplace and the old terracotta tiles intact.
For more than 10 years, we have welcomed guests with our warm hospitality, kindness, and an attention to detail that ensures we meet all their requirements so that people come back to stay again and again.
Our home has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay in this beautiful location. From sunrise to sunset, you can look out over the spectacular views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. In summer, you can also take advantage of our beautiful garden and have breakfast outside.
The desire to learn more about other cultures and traditions and to introduce guests from all over the world to Scarperia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy are the reasons we decided to open our B&B.
We wish to offer our guests a chance to taste the flavours and aromas of Italy, and to experience a relaxing holiday set against the beautiful surrounding landscape of the Apennine hills.
